i first played twilight princess on the gamecube about a decade ago and the game's always stuck with me. while basically every legend of zelda title is a banger, twilight princess is my absolute favorite.
i love the more "mature" vibe of the story (bordering on edgy), where most loz games have link as a child or teen, twilight princess link is older, likely 18-ish? it didn't feel like the story strayed from anything too scary or disturbing and instead leaned into it. for little me, it almost played like a horror game (the twili enemies are genuinely unsettling!).
and another thing--the art! it's gorgeous, from the character designs to the environments. for example, the elaborate details in the clothes of ordon's villagers to the rings and frillage of the zoras. some people find it annoying, but i always enjoyed the heavy bloom effects over the game--it had a kind of dreamlike feeling to it that especially added to the twilight realm scenes.
