a year or so ago i was scrubbing through my family's steam games when i ran into postal 2. i had some distant memory of my brothers always telling me to NOT play that game, that it was inappropriate and all that. so naturally i had to check it out and see what all the fuss was about. i had genuinely no idea what the game was about, and never expected the level of permanent hyperfixation i would gain from it.

postal 2 is the ultimate "fuck around and do whatever" game. you can dutifully follow your chores, get your groceries, yadayada in this insane town you live in. but also, theres a piss button. you can steal shit, kill random people (to be fair, they kill you just for flipping them off so... everyone's a murderer), collect cats, recruit dogs, etc. the game progresses through a day by day level system, with tuesday featuring the ICONIC petition.

postal dude is voiced by rick hunter, who does a stellar job. the voice lines themselves with that iconic deep and sarcastic voice probably lift half the weight of the games fame. the other half is the reputation the franchise has earned for breaking the rules on how violent a game should be (as was intended with the creation of postal!).
